I have pre-ordered one from John just like most of you in this thread did. I too, have initial doubts of whether to keep the pre-order or find another vendor who sells it for the same price. Although I have not dealt with John prior to the pre-order call nor drink the "Marstar kool-aid" as someone has described, I think I will stay with Marstar on this shipment.

John has done an amazing job for importing these rifles into Canada. It opened up a large market for cheap black rifles. Even though others have price matched with what John has offered, he is the initial one who reduced the price of these rifles to what most people could afford.

If he said there are improvements on his version over his competitors, then we should give him benefit of the doubt and continue to support his work. That being said, once the shipments have arrived and the pre-orders have been fulfilled, it would be nice if John can reveal some of the improvements that were made to their shipment to prevent certain failures from happening.

Either way, thanks John for offering the Norinco CQ-A to us at an amazing price.
 
this is based on 100% rumors, but ive heard its because he did what he said he wouldnt... sold to other vendors first :p thats why they got theres first and this next shipment is just takin awhile. as i said, just a rumor.
but might i also add i went to badger arms and they 100% guarantee there stuff to.
i mean i understand loyalty, musical instrument wise i always go to the same 2 dealers for everything (i even got one to ship me sticks and a new crash across canada when i was on tour :p). although, for those who are new, if he cant tell you why his are better, u'll never know no matter where you buy it from... and that's alot of blind faith for a man u've never met :p

I think my Sig magazines just showed up but I wasn't home to sign for them ... pretty fast shipping (5 days) from Marstar


EDIT: stupid, they sent me P228 magazines instead of P226 magazines

Story I got from Badger is that him and John imported these together, which makes no sense since Badger has had these since the end of May. I've had mine since June 2nd from Moreguns...

How interesting, on one hand you dismiss rumors and yet on the other hand you propogate another....

[BI am not in the habit of having my word questioned.... I have ALWAYS prided myself with my word being my bond.... I have done million dollar deals on my word.... I am not about to change....

I trust John completely and he will have my business for years to come. You don't always have to know every detail of what goes on behind the scenes but you do need to trust those you do business with regardless of if it's a $600 or $1,000,000 deal.

sorry, there is no way to really prove or disprove, even if i came into your office and could peek around... and when you can have a world of people who have no problem being evil as evil can be. some text promising grandeur isnt whats going to sway me :p
im not saying dont buy from you, just merely saying there are other sellers. its a very friendly community, dont get defensive unless you feel you got something to hide. people just want answers as to why they should give you there money not someone who can give it quicker, for something other then a "promise the same brand of gun will be better"

The nice thing about a BlackBerry is that you can great your own auto-text shortcuts in the options menu. For example, you can set it up so that when you type "u" you get "you". I have created my own entire shorthand language on my BB, full of 2 and 3 letter abbreviations which makes typing a breeze, but it always comes out looking like a proper sentence, complete with real words. :)
