Odd Chinese SKS

My rifle looks indentical to yours markings and serial number wise, the only difference is on the underside of my buttstock behind the trigger guard there is only a 2 stamped in the wood instead of the 2 and 1 on yours.

Mine came with the oil can, 1 stripper clip, and sling as well.

does this /625\ have lightenning cuts on the carrier and the bayo lug? also whats on the rear sight ? 3,III or D?

Aren't M21's just sanitized factory 26 guns? I've certainly seen that written around the 'net often enough.

yes, "M21" is commercial but "M21 No" is not , i believe it was made for the vietnamese.

The Chinese characters say "Type 56". Some factories applied them, others did not. Most of the military SKS rifles have the chinese characters, but not all.

Craig0ry : could you post more close up pics? like barrel meet the receiver area, right side of carrier , bayo lug , rear sight markings, etc.?

craig: thanks for the pics, yours is from the largest SKS factory /26\ , 1966 was a pretty good year, yours is missing a spike bayo and a wood stock with swivel at the bottom.

I have the original stock and bayonet downstairs, The spike bayo didnt fit with this tapco stock(Blade Cut) So I still need to modify it a little to get the spike bayo to snug up nicely to the stock.

And i will check for some import marks and update

This is the only other one I can find, Without taking the stock completely off,

Its a little hard to see
