Crimson Trace Laser Grip 1911 ??

They work fine and look cool, But I have yet to see any one shoot targets
with one better than open sights.

Shoot from any awkward position that does not allow you to have a proper sight picture and you will instantly see the value of a laser sight, especially the green Viridian laser sights, the green lasers showup much better in daylight.

I have a set of Crimson Trace laser grips on my 4.25" Ruger Super Redhawk in 454 Casull... :D

Never had a problem with the grips and they work very good and don't let anyone tell you that they are not an advantage to have.

Yes. It's easy. An allen wrench is included in the package.

You can use the iron sights to get it close, but you will also want to keep in mind the fact that (compared to the bore) the lazer is offset to the right.

My favourite is the LaserMax, internal guiderod laser. They're really fantastic, although they're not adjustable but I've NEVER had a problem with one and I've owned three.

I love my ct laser on my 1911. I like it more then the lasermax system because it doesn't effect the internals. Holds its zero really well. Anyone who says it is not an advantage has either not used one or can't afford one! More options is better then less.

Here is a BAD ADVICE.
I dont know how many rounds you guys have put through yours,
But I have two sets. Factory on my SW1911's. (photo's in the 1911 pic thread.)
The first set stopped working after about a year. not the batteries.
Had to send them in for warranty. got them fixed and sent back, took about 4 month.
Bought a second SW1911PD with factory lasergrips. They also worked for about a year.
And now my first ones that were repaired, broke again after about 2 years.
I dont know if I was just unlucky. But now I have had 3 malfunctions with them.
I would not trust my life on these things ever.
on the plus side,
when they do work, they are fun to shoot with and quite accurate.
But now I have to send both sets in for repair again.
My .02$

I heard it can be difficult to grab the slide of the gun from the rear because the laser sits so close. Is there any truth to this? I've never used these grips before.

My SRH laser grip uses full size Surefire litium batteries not the little flat ones in a 1911 grip... :p

That would certainly make a big difference.

No, no problems at all. same as with standard grips.
