Hi folks,

Looking for some information on 2 rifles I just acquired.

What I am looking for is -
How to tell the age
what they are worth
general feedback

The first is a Husky H5000 in .270 winch

The second is a remington 7400 30-06

edit - I found the age of the remington using the sticky above but not the Husky.

Serial numbers would be a good idea to date them. Leave off the last 2 digits for security.

The Husky number is 6 digits long. The first 4 numbers are 3165

Your saying the 270 is worth more than the 30-06?

Yup the Husky is worth more than the Remington. The Husqvarna was made in 1967

Personally, I'd take 1 Husky over 2 jamamatics....Ben

That Husky is in nice shape. I would agree with the $600. The semi, well its a semi and not popular out here. Bolts are a lot more accurate and much more reliable. Plus the Remmy has been messed with. I would expect if the barrel is really good and it feeds really good then $400 would buy it. See the odd one on the EE and they hang for quite a while and probably get haggled a fair bit to sell. In the same gun, same manuf, 270 and 30-06 would be the same price especially since the 270 is just a necked down 30-06. Good cal to go with though and mostly mimics the "06 except the 06 will most often take up to a 220gr boolit. Nice lumber on the Husky too. They have a rep for reliability.
