WW primers loose with FC brass?

I have been working with a 270Win and FC brass. Until now I've been using Fed215 primers with no problems. Primers were easy going in, but nothing weird.

I switched to WW primers and they were literally falling out of the primer pockets. The first one I noticed that the primer was in the bottom of the shell box when I pulled out the case. I popped it in by hand and fired it. This brass has been used before, but nothing severe. I'm thinking the pockets are larger then spec and the primers smaller.

Anyone else see this?

Yes - I've found Federal brass to be "loose" with Winchester primers - but not to the level you experienced ...

Yup have had the same experince with brass from blue box federal 270 win and wlr primers.cci or federal primers seem to be no problem .I think the wlr primers may be a thou smaller.

the blue box ones i have are about .0015 smaller than the old white box ones

Yes, with 30-06 FC brass & WW primers in the blue box=loose fit.

I use only CCI primers with this brass now.

Depends on the color.

loctite 222 low strength

loctite 222 purple works wonders when you need somthing to stay in place, and its easily removed
