Winnipeg Huntfest

Went into Winnipeg this morning to check out Huntfest at the Convention Centre. Lots of people around. Liked seeing all the optics at the different booths, Bushnell, Nikon,Luepold and Zeiss. The one that really surprised me was the Vortec glass. I think next time I need a scope I'll give them a try. Glad they expanded the show to include Wpg this year and hope they're back next year.

Me too. Got good information on African hunts which are actually cheaper than I would have suspected, at least for plains game.

I had hoped to see more outfitters there. Maybe next year?

Prices start at $2,300 US for a seven day hunt and run up to $6,495US depending on which outfitter you go with and what plains game you want to hunt.

Air fares are on top of that.
