How do you get out the bolt handle on Bennelli M4?

How do you get the bolt handle out on the Benelli M4? Ive got mine almost apart but cant figure out how to get it off. Do you have to screw it off?

Twist (CW) and pull, funnily enough I had to consult the manual for the same issue earlier today cleaning.

Yep.

The detent is pretty stiff at first, but pull and twist at the same time.

Thanks. I had to use pliers. i used my fingers until i almost stripped the skin off. That is stiff.

Sometimes it helps to twist it around a few times before you start pulling. It will loosen up as it gets "worn in" a bit
