Day at the range

Nice range day! Mine consisted of spraying 50 rounds of 9mm all over the targets while I got more and more frustrated with myself. I got so POd that I called it a day after half an hour and went home...

Oh well, I'm sure I'll do better in a couple of days... unless it's the gun? Yeah, that's it! It was the gun...

Nice range, and beautiful rifles. Not only that, but they all shoot very well! The photos of the targets are especially helpful in seeing what those rifles can do.

:confused:Now you've got my curiosity going so I have to ask why??

10 months of winter and 2 months of poor sledding! What's not to love? ;)

pity that abolt had to be there, but pretty girls always need an ugly friend :)

Pretty is as as pretty does. ;) While the A-Bolt may not be everyone's cup of tea I bought this particular one from Martin a few years ago solely to try out the 300 WSM cartridge. I previously owned 2 other original A-Bolts - not the A-Bolt II like this one - and hated them both. This one is so accurate I don't want to ever sell it and in fact has become my "go-to" rifle for most hunting. Since I bough it from Martin it has accounted for 3 or 4 Mulies, a couple of Whitetails, a Black Bear and 2 Cougar.

Don't mean to hijack but I will, for a brief moment. That's why never learned to swim when I lived there, 10 months of winter and 2 months of poor snowmobiling. I've mentioned it previously but when we moved to B.C., we moved from the the concrete jungle of down town Edmonton to the gravel pit of Barkerville. Took me all of two days to get used to the change and then you couldn't have pulled me out with wild horses:cool:. Back to topic;), a five minute walk and we were at our shooting range area. Oh, headed up your way in September, to Horsefly actually, for my Moose draw.

Forgot, great shooting and I do like the Ruger.
