Could you have a Norinco CQ (AR) Arma-coated. I think it would look good and improve the finish but would everything still be functional? I'm not sure if its a dip process or what but if I could improve the finish I could see myself buying one in the future.

Yes you can arma-coat a Norinco AR. We have done lots as they are lacking a good finish. Yes everything would be functional as arma-coat is extremely thin. You can either send the rifle to us or we can sell you the product to do it yourself. Arma-Coat is not a dip process its a spray on finish. Here is a picture below not a Norinco but an AR which is exactly the same thing. If you decide to get one they are easy to work with and just as reliable as any of the super AR's out there for sale.
Lacquer thinner works best. You would have to sandblast over blueing or anything with a very smooth finish.If it has good Parkerizing or anodizing you are good to go. Easy to use and air curable.

6. All magazines, scope mounts, stocks, and accessories will be charged extra, unless otherwise quoted as a package deal by an Arma-Coat Finishes representative. We usually give a package deal when a firearm or firearms are being sent and other accessories are needed to be finished, please ask for a package quote and keep it on file as the quote will be good for 30 days.
*As a side note we refinish any and all types of Firearms and are federally licensed for anything under the sun. To save money sending guns completely disassembled helps keep our shop time lower and your price lower. Or the cheapest route possible is we sell you the Arma-Coat products and you can do it yourself.
