Best, most reliable, repeating .22 LR Rifle ever made?

I love my 10/22.... BUT

THE MOST RELIABLE rifle i EVER owned and everyone who has shot it agrees, it was my Marlin Model 60NB ( Tube feed semi). I have shot OVER 3 Bricks... 1500 rounds and never cleaned it and still worked. I did learn to clean it after, it was awesome.... ANY ammo, it ate it. period. Also a TACk driver.

I SO REGRET ever selling her. :(

Ruger 10-22 bought mine in early 70`s, only malfunction was dirty clips or wrong ammo. Grabbed a box of longs instead of long rifle. However i have seen several new stainless steel ones that had feed problems.

You have to learn your rifle and which ammo it likes, yes semis are sometimes a bit finicky. A good example is my Remington 597 VTR which had many FTE and it got me really frustrated. The FTE's happened mostly with the 30 round magazine and cheap ammo. Now I switched to better (more expensive ammo) and I am holding the magazine with my left hand while shooting, no more FTE!

Getting tired of flaws in design, jams, and other malfunctions.

What's the best .22 made in terms of function and reliability?

Speaking of repeaters, I'd say my boltie CZ452s and Marlin 981Ts have been totally reliable, as well as my Marlin 60s. No failures except for defective ammo (no bang inspite of deep firing pin strikes)

My Savage MKIIF have had a couple of failure to ejects, but that was probably due to a dirty extractor and bolt face when I first got it used on the EE...one of my better EE deals BTW. After cleaning it has made the MKIIF completely reliable as well.

Over the last 80 years or so, I would have to pick the Cooey 60 as the longest lasting, dependable, accuracy unbelievable machine. Even today they are sought after.

I can attest to the Cooey '60. Had mine now for 24 years, and many thousands of rounds have gone through it. Never once had any issue with feeding or ejecting with long rifle ammo.

x100 on the nylon 66. Never had a problem with it EVER, and it's been dirty, in the rain and snow, etc... Actually i'm lying, i've had a problem with cheap ammo in the past couple weeks. It's like this: PACK! PACK! PACK! PACK! pup...click... Probably 10 or 15 out of a 550 box of federal champions just didn't have the poop to blow back the action and inject the empty...

Gevarm's are far and away the most reliable semi autos I've ever used.
I own or have owned a half dozen Ruger 10-22's and 2 Nylon 66's and but theres no such thing as a dud round when you feed em through a Gevarm open bolt.
