God's country.
Had this posted on another forum and was told to post it here. My question is what would be a fair price for the above rifles. I know "what the market will bear" etc, but I've seen Vopo rifles go for around $7000(Collectors Source) mind you this has the mount and scope. Other guns I've seen are refurb with plastic foregrips and prices are still in the $3000-$5000 range. What would a matching vet bring back be worth? I'm considering selling them and would like to put a fair and reasonable price on them. Thanks for your time.

Pictures of each gun, along with description of condition of wood, bluing, bore, internals, optics, function, and any and all markings, damage etc will get you a good quote. Otherwise it's a cr@p shoot.

It also depends on weather you want to sell to the Canadian market, the prices your talking about seem high for this country, unless your willing to sell overseas . Some of these rifles with certain markings are rare and with proper matching scope bring premum prices.

Gaff, Collectors Source is in Canada, They offer one rifle for $6995. It is scoped with mount and rings. These items go for about $1500 leavind the rifle at $5500. The gun itself is a vopo with refinished wood. That a big dollar for a refurb.

Its probably going to sit there for five years unsold.

they may also be selling to Europe. or willing to sit on it forever . minty ones in the US are only selling in the $3000. range . and there demand for these is far higher.

It depends how fast you want to sell. Have you compared the other prices from collector source to market prices? I think they have the same stock they had 6 months ago. With the slow market right now you have to price aggressively if you want to move it.

the DUV should be worth more than the AC 45, especially if the walther is a k g 45 marked receiver, there were some quality control issues with walther in 45, they were reusing receivers that had failed QA testing earlier in the milling, thats why they got to be K G 43 marked

the DUV should be a nice gun though, Berlin Lubeker made quality guns through out

The plastic foregrip that you mention is a handguard made of Durofol, similar to Bakelite, and they are Original WW2 German production. Laminated Beech Wood was the other material for G43/K43 Handguards.

You really need to post pics.

This is going to be a very silly question, but I have never heard of a country called Vopo... what is a Vopo rework?

Lugers, K98's, G/K43's, etc, etc, were reworked postwar (East Germany), most bear the Starburst stamp and forced matched parts (stamps, electropencil engraving), sometimes reblued (a black color).
