Anybody else waiting for a stock from B&C *update post 74*

Got a couple TIs and an Edge here. I've had good luck with both.

.

Good. I mostly just couldn't pass up a chance to hack on ya...:nest::D

Having only one B&C and one McEDGE, I have way less experience with the various makes compared to yourself. The B&C will be replaced with McMillan though and be sent down the road before long. It'll be the last B&C I own. Poor design and quality IMO&E. Voids, chainsaw inletting, ergos like a brick.

Granted everyone has a lemon once in awhile... I'll pay the extra for others from now on.

Mine won't be ready from B&C for at least another 6 weeks or so, so I'm going to wait and hope AI get's things squared away.

I had an email exchange with them this past Thursday. Shipment is still up in the air. I've decided to cancel and look at other options. I contacted 24 hour campfire about McMillans (thanks to a fellow cgn'r for leading down this path) and they ship to Canada no problem.
Ultimately I'd like to know when not if something will ship.

I am going to call Jim on Monday. Regardless of my order being cancelled, i want my stock. The factory SPS feels like s**t compared to decent fiberglass.

Swifty - did you have a chance to talk to them? Just trying to decide if its worth placing an order with them.

I really like the last 2 stocks I ordered from B&C.

I think B&C is maybe having supply issues. I have a Cooper order waiting at the factory on a B&C stock.

Is anyone here still waiting for their stock from Aftermarket Innovations/rifle-accuracy? I've been waiting since April and recently asked Jim for an update. Here's an excerpt from his email response:

Here is the latest update on exporting your stock to you. After a 5 month battle with the DDTC by us contending that the sporting rifle stocks are not a "defense article", they have made the decision not allow us to ship stocks without having an export license being issued by them for each shipment. I have sent the required $2250 fee and registration application into them last week so we can become an approved firearm parts exporter.

Once we receive notification back from the DDTC that we are approved then we will need to apply for an export license to ship your stock to you. Believe it or not each order must have a separate license. I do not know how long registration approval will take but do not expect it to be more than a week or so.

I will be emailing a letter to you that you will need to acknowledge and email back to me so that I can send it in with a copy of your purchase order to the DDTC to obtain the license. On future orders I will need to add a $25.00 fee to each order to make up for the extra cost and paperwork preparation they require.

I'm actually surprised that Jim is going through with the licensing as I can't imagine he's making much money servicing his Canadian clients unless he's also wholesaling. No doubt this has been very frustrating for him, so I'm content to wait it out and support him. Should the US continue in the direction of increased scrutiny/regulation of firearms-related items, I expect we're going to find less-and-less retailers willing to ship to Canada --- not a great situation at all.
