Never leave home without it..........

where do you guys get your Uplula from in the GTA?

Bought mine online from DoubleTap Sports (site sponsor, see above), but Target Sports also sells them.

They're an absolute godsend. Put 250 rounds through my M&P yesterday and came out without the sore thumbs thanks to the Uplula. Too bad I sustained other injuries from catching the fleshy part of my hand between the magwell and magazine lip...twice! Ouch. :bangHead:

"...it'll take some of the newness out of the springs..." Nope. Springs do not lose temper from being compressed.

They don't lose temper, they settle to their working length, as an example take a brand new mag spring and compare it's length to one that has been compressed for a week. Then take one that's a year or two old and compare it to one that's been compressed for a week - the first 2 will be different lengths the second 2 will be the same length. You see the same thing in recoil springs, after 200 rounds a 1911 recoil spring is shorter than a new spring, although it certainly isn't worn out.

If you have thick skin and don't mind being picked on like you were back in public school go ahead and buy a WimpUlupa. :p

Easy to say when you look like this :p

Real men dont uses speed loaders :p

speedloader = 6-round thingy for revolvers.

real men use revolvers!!! ergo, real men use speedloaders to quickly put an end to the bad mofos. a la Jerry Maculasdfkhasdjhfjka

The best of both worlds: An Uplula loader with pinned mags. Without rushing, I can load four 10/17 mags in a minute and my thumbs are no worse for the wear.

I have four (and wish i bought six) of your 17 round pinned mags Monkey, and never used anything but my fingers (3000 rds so far). The two 10 rounders that came in with the gun are in the safe, stretching the spring ;)

3,000 rds? Zikes! If you were using just the factory 10 rounders, your thumbs would be worn down to nubs.

Glad you like them!

Hell, I put 1100 rounds through my G20 and one other G20 over the course of two days and didn't ever feel the need for an uplula myself...I have a hard time seeing what is so difficult about loading mags.

I do love your pinned Glock mags, though...I have 4 for my G20, and I also wish I'd bought six.

i spent Wednesday at the range loading up my 10round .40S&W mags and never had a problem. are you all really that dainty??? whether it's my 15/10 or my 10 mag, they're not all that tough on the last few rounds.

seriously, i get more "finger damage" from practicing how to safely 'abort' and release the hammer on my revolver than i do with loading mags.

or do you all just prefer tweak-toys and get all wrapped up in the minutiae (like that thread about weighing and sorting brass cuz someone's accuracy sucked)

i wonder - do the various military, security, and police units around the world all use these lame-ass loading assist thingies, or do they just man up and load rounds by hand, from first to last?

Why do you insist on poking fun at girly men? :p

Why do you insist on poking fun at girly men? :p

cuz it's easier than justifying dropping $20 on a Uplululalala :p

i just can't bring myself to call myself a serious shooter if i insist on a 'crutch' to help me load those gosh-awfully-difficult mags with those heavy expensive boolits.

but what do i know - i prefer the shut-up-n-shoot approach :D

You can definitely tell the people that fire a box or two in an outing from those that burn several hundred or even 1000+ apart in this thread. If anyone wants to load the 750 rounds of 10mm I'll be sending downrange next time I am out let me know, hell I'll pay you if you can keep up.

I specifically burn hundreds of 10mm at a time...half the mags I use are factory 10 rounders.

I never shoot less than 250 rounds at a session and I recently shot Todd Green's Aim Fast Hit Fast, over a thousand rounds in two days...never gave a thought to my thumbs at all.

Of course I've been in construction most of my life and my hands are made out of leather...but still I really can't wrap my head around people finding mag loading all that hard.

There were a couple of uplulas at that course which saw some use. But personally I have no need for them.
