Ok, I know there is .22LR convertion kits for the glocks but it's not what I want. What would be the closest .22LR handgun to a G17? talking ergonomics, grip angle and all that.

Thanks

I looked into this gun before purchasing my glock 17 (the ISSC M22) and spoke with three people who each owned one. They all had the same response. Utter garbage. Constant headache with misfires and jams. Feeding issues. "only likes certain ammunition, but I've tried EVERYTHING I can get my hands on and I haven't found that "certain" ammunition" One of the three guys had an issue with internals breaking after 200 rounds through it.

What I heard from local gun stores, plus those three gentlemen was more than enough to keep me away from it...

Just my $.02

Thanks matt, I also read a lot of bad things about them. I am not exactly looking for a Glock clone but more of a handgun that feel the same as a Glock. There is not too many places around here to go try out different handguns.

Try a Walther P22. I have one and a G17 and they are pretty close if you can get past the smaller frame.

I have an AA .22LR kit for my Glock and I absolutely love it. Sure, it's just as expensive as buying a whole new pistol, but still, I'd get another one in a heartbeat over a second .22 pistol in addition to my Glock.

The advantage of having the exact same grip angle and trigger pull has allowed me to improve my 9mm shooting by leaps and bounds.
