Usually I refer to it in general terms as a 375Magnum.

As it should be. 300 grs at 2500 is the universal answer to the question and requires no further detail. Holland & Holland, Dakota, JRS, Weatherby, Ultramag, Taylor, Steyr, & Ruger all provide similar answers.
My "similar answer" is headed to the Yukon in Sept for a fly-in moose hunt loaded with 270gr TSXs. It shoots 3" groups at 200yds with a VXIII 1.5x5.
If the shooter does his part, I expect the results to be positive.

Range report
Well I finally made a couple of range trips with the new Model 70 in 375 H&H. Both times it has been very hot +30C, so not very good for cooling the rifle down between 3 shot strings. First round out to get it on paper showed it to be promising producing a couple of sub inch groups, but soon as the gun heats up things start to open up a bit. This heavy barrel stay hot and does not cool down that quickly at all. So I headed out to the range yesterday, again very hot temps, and shot the first group from a cold gun. The gun had been cleaned from the first trip so in the picture you'll see the fowl shot and then the 3-shot group. This group was shot with 260gr Accubonds loaded with 71gr of RL15 and CCI250 primers. Looks pretty good.
This is the second group after the gun had been sitting for about 15min. The one flyer maybe from me, but didn't have another shot to confirm that. One the first trip to the range I did notice groups did open up to about 1.5-2inches when the gun heated up(stringing). Specs for this load was Hornady 270gr RN bullets loaded with 71 gr of RL15 as well and CCI250 primers.
I am going to load up some 270 TSX's for this weekends trip and see how they shoot. Overall I am happy with the gun and the guns accuracy. There probably will never be a time that I'll need to shoot more than 3 shots in the field, rapidly where the barrel heat will affect accuracy that much to be a concern. This cannon may be a little heavy but it does balance well.

Great results. Good shooting!! As I mentioned in a previous post, I have a model 70 in a Super Express and in 458WM.
Previous to the model 70, I had a Ruger M-77 and a Brno ZKK 602, both in 458WM but it seemed that on a regular basis the Super Express would out shoot the other two. A while back hs4570 and I were 'playing golf'
at the local range and after we finished, I tested a few loads in the Super Express and he initialed the target.

. I very much remember the picture and your comment you posted about the model 70 To"I don't know about the CZ550 but I did have a ZKK602 and a Winchester model 70 Super Express, both in 458WM. Between the two, my preference was to keep the model 70. me it just seemed to be a little more refined." I to found this to be the case and chose the Model 70 as well. Couldn't be happier with my decision.

The M70 becomes pretty limited load wise in .375, and .458 Lott, as the action is cut out from a standard magnum M70 and extended. I love M70's, pre-64 CRF style, but when I made the choice of which rifle for Africa it was the Ruger RSM. True Magnum action, with a 4" magazine, and the appropriate dimensions. Anyone unfamiliar with the RSM should check it out, you'll be impressed.
