Looking for an SVT-38

I sold mine a few years ago. I saw another one listed at a recent auction but didn't have any money so I didn't attend the sale. That makes at least two in Canada! They are very rare - the Russians only built 150,000 or so and they were all recalled from service and updated to SVT-40 specs when they proved to be to finicky and delicate for battlefield conditions. The only ones you're likely to find will be one that were captured by the Finns during the Winter War.

There was one at several gunshows in SW ontario. Bubba'd stock slightly $500. It was actually an AVS-36 that the Firearms Program insisted was an svt-38... wish I had bought it.

The one at the auction sold for 850 with missmatched parts & a crap bore. Only reason I don't own it now is I wasn't packing enough cash. Good luck!

milarm sold one about six years ago, for $750. nice shape, they had a Russian win95 at the same time ,for the same money. they both went fast.

Very hard to find I had one that was converted to 1940 but the mag was and stock was from 1938. It is a bit different.

thank you

Mind me asking what sort of ballpark would be expected if I was to have found one in pretty good condition?

I'm still waiting on pics, but it sounds pretty decent.

I'm trying to decide if I should make an offer, or ask for a price.
