I'm afraid that's the closest you'd get. I've only seen one in Canada and I'm not sure they're still in business. They've never answered my inquiries anyways. Besides, they were meant to be adjustable for a wide range of cartridges, and by doing so they probably didn't ballistically match any of them exactly.
DPMS had the ART II in their catalog up till the mid-late 1990's, but that is no more.
Currently, the Russian/Soviet IP 21 (3 x 9 x 42) scope works by the same concept, although it has quite a different reticle. The concept is the same: bracket an object of known size in the reticle (with the magnification selector)and the machined cam compensates for bullet drop.
If you have a moison nagant 91 or SVD 40 mounting it should be do-able. They were meant for the Dragonov rifle and a specific load.
I have the US contract ART 2's, Israeli contract ART's and a Realist ART. All of them are better than the hilux art. The US contract has all steel mounts, the Israeli contract has aluminun mounts and the realist has all steel mounts.
I know that Wolverine Supplies is the new leatherwood/Hi-Lux dealer for Canada. They have their newest version of the ART II scope for $459.00 and their steel M1A mount for $129.00.
I have been broke since they got them in, but I will hopefully be able to buy one before hunting season to try out. If it works well, it will be awesome for deer mounted on my new Norc. M14s!!
