Ruger Mark II vs. Mark III

Is there a difference in trigger pull between the two. Does the magazine safety really make a difference?

Thanks for any help,

Scott.

I own both and the only advantages to the MKIII is the location of the mag release just behind the trigger vs at the bottom of the grip and the fiber-optic sights. After-market sights can be purchased for under $50.
I think the trigger pull is similar, but my MKII is 25 years old, with many bricks of all types of ammo through it and the MKIII is quite new with only 3 or 4 bricks of 500 rounds through it.
The other changes such as the mag safety and internal lock just complicate a very nice design for no actual advantage. Also, the MKII mags will not work in a MKIII. I think Ruger should change these back and I have told them.

I have both a Mark II and a Mark III. I find no difference other than the mag release. For me I like the button on the Mark III. Both are great pistols.
