LTATT and multiple clubs

I _just_ completed and passed my restricted and non-restricted exams, and am now waiting for the ON CFO to send me my certified results so I can move onto the paperwork.

In the meantime, I have a couple of questions...

1. Multiple clubs... do they just add the second club as a rider to the ATT? I can see being a member at a place like EOHC, and also RA centre for those really cold weeks or when I am too lazy to drive 30 minutes :)

2. Buying a restricted firearm for the first time -- is it true that there is a chicken and egg thing going on? I've heard that you need to be a club member before even getting the ATT to transport a gun from the store to your home.

3. The ATT you need for purchase... who gets that? The store? Me? If its the store, do you have to come back to pick up the firearm when the paper is in hand or do they have some kind of immediate electronic means of transmitting the paperwork?

Sorry for the newb questions, and thanks in advance.

1. LTATT is good for all clubs in Ontario.

2. No, you do not have to be a member of a club. I had several before ever being a member at any club. **LTAAT is a different story.

3. You get the ATT for transport. Usually the store takes care of it. **If you order online, you take care of the ATT if you need to pick it up somewhere, such as the post office.

You will be issued a single LATT, good for all approved ranges in Ontario. The club that you request your LATT through is deemed to be your "home club." So if you join multiple clubs, you may choose to request the LATT through the club that has the least onerous regulations.

You do not need to be a club member to purchase a restricted. You do need to have a restricted registered to your RPAL before the CFO Ontario will issue a LATT through a club. This is a recent change in the last 5 years or so.

Yes. :p

Commercial sale, including on-line, the store does this for you. Private sale between two individuals, the seller initiates and you complete, via the CFC.

Another thing, if you belong to multiple clubs and you choose not to renew your home club membership and let it expire, your LTATT will expire same day as well even if LTATT expires at a later time. I have forgotten about that or just assumed LTATT would expire on day it was written on paper. I just so happened to read my LTATT again b/c someone here had a question. Had I didn't do that, I will become a criminal in the near future. :(
