Stainless Steel, super smooth finish...... as always.

It certainly won't make it quieter.

Of course it will be loud to those beside you. If it bothers them, maybe they can wad up their panties to use as ear plugs under their muffs.;)

I hit the range this evening to try out my new NEA brake. I compared it to a plain muzzle and the old version NEA hybrid muzzle device. Obviously, the plain muzzle doesn't do anything. The hybrid is primarily a flash suppressor but does seem to soften the recoil a bit.

The new NEA brake is very effective at reducing recoil and muzzle rise. My non-scientific opinion is that it reduced muzzle climb by 80%-ish which makes it much faster to get the rifle back on target for follow-up shots. It's hard to tell how much it reduces recoil, but it's definitely less than the plain muzzle or hybrid. For those used to flash suppressors or plain muzzles you will definitely notice a higher noise level when shooting.

It's got a nice semi-matte black oxide finish over stainless steel. It is dirty in the pictures, though.

It's a very nice piece and I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a quality muzzle brake/compensator.

I think your brake is quite the product.

I'm looking forward to trying it.

How many variations of the design did you go through before this one was selected as the best performer?
