What game will you NOT hunt, and why?

It seems to me that many of us agree on one major point, "I don't kill what I don't intend to eat". I'll shoot pest animals where they cause property damage, or animals that threaten me or mine. To me, ethical hunting is work for your kill and respect the animal and the environment. Out my way, it's deer or moose, though if I had the money I'd try and elk or caribou hunt. I won't hunt bear, except for the reason stated above, as I don't like the taste. Upland game birds are quite tasty, and they're on the target list, so are rabbits. There! My 2 cents worth!

Turkey, first of all I have no desire to hunt them. Second of all in Ontario you need to take a course to be able to hunt them. You can hunt any other game in Ontario by taking the hunters safety course and buying a licence, but you need to take a course to hunt turkeys.
Other than that, if it flys it dies. I also hunt deer and moose and buy a bear tag just in case. I also love hunting rabbits.

Turkeys are VERY challenging to hunt. Nail biting at times. The reason as I understand it that you have to take an additional course is because turkey hunting has had some very high accidental shooting rates. With education, this rate drops to very low like other hunting activities.

I respect your decision not to hunt them, just want to make sure you have all the info on it.

No interest in a grizzly, lion, giraffe, elephant, or rhino.

Wolves and cougar would be an opportunity thing for me only, don't like the taste of ducks.

I've shot a big moose, but not sure I need to do the work on another.

This is the only big game animal I would not hunt. So, I'd be doing the same as Jeff Goldbloom in this photo.

Only because I don't have a double rifle chambered for this round. :(

But Veloci-Raptors....game on! I have a good stock of Brennekes!! ;)

No endanger species, or species of limited quantities. I watched a show the other day about the Serenjeti, and how they had a count on the actual quantities of most of the species, and they were suprisingly low.

Anyway point being, if there is less than 100 Animal alive, I would prefer to see them bread in a compound to be repopulated, not shot Texas style.

squirrels, rabbit and gopher.......small little animals i have trouble killing cause they cant kill me, they would rather run then attack you know.

now if it was deer, elk, moose or black/grizzly bear i have no trouble killing one of those animals cause they have the ability to kill me just as quick as i could kill them.

sorry if this makes no sense at all but thats the way i see it.

They can kill you, with rabbies! so shoot those lil fkers away if you enjoy the meat or they become pests.

I probably wouldn't hunt a moose, even with two people, I dont think I would know what to do with all that meat!

Bears, nothing against people hunting them I just don't care for the meat.If I knew someone to take the meat I'd go for a trophy or cinnamen bear.I see lots of bears in a season, some pretty huge ones as well.
