Russian Wolf ammo 9mm HP

No Russian Wolf ammo in Canada, not legally anyway, it's not on the NRCan approved list, so it can't be imported. Big GIANT displays of it, and other such no-nos 2 hours to the south, however. Cabela's in East Grand Forks, looked like they just got a fresh shipment of all things Wolf, in wonderful dry-boxes. Seeing as I enjoy my anus the size it is, I just looked and shook my head at the silliness of our regulations, and also the US export rules.

Yep, as curtmg said, you can find it anywhere EXCEPT Canada.

Although if you go through a US exporter and they get you the US EXPORT permits ($$$ and a couple months), you would be able to get up to 5,000 rounds exported from the US for personal use.

No you would not. It is not an approved explosive in Canada and you would be denied importation.
 
We discussed it very recently with Tula/Wolf. Pricing was out to lunch and they would only sell through the US. As an example, we were quoted $200 / k on x39. Check the US retail price.

Isn't the x39 coming in this fall going to retail for over 300 / k?
 
That's different Wolf ammo. We sell Wolf Bullets remanufactured ammo. What you guys are talking about is Russian made Wolf....two totally different creatures. I'd shoot Wolf Bullets ammo in my gun any day but I won't touch the Russian stuff.

Quantities under 5,000 rounds for PERSONAL USE and NOT FOR RESALE, do not need the NRCAN import permit, and hence don't need their approval ie, their list. It is the NRCAN list/permit that comes into play for resale or above 5,000 rounds.

True but you would have to got to some country other that the US to get it. Planning a trip to Vladivastok to get some?

Ummm, "Safety Cartridges" is NRCAN lingo for what we call loaded ammunition....... ;)

You can get it from the US, just tack on the $250 or so for the US Export permit.
