Ok so I like to support our CGN dealers and wanted a budget 30-06. I called Badger Arms on this Vanguard Blued DM in 30-06 and his website says the rifle is $499 with detach box mag. He says that this price is for the floor plate model. Take a look at the ad and tell me who is right. Am I missing something?? Does it not state $499 for a blued 30-06 w/ detach mag for $499??

By the looks of it, I would say he is wrong and your right according to what I seen in the ad.

There are other dealers who might be willing to assist you.
There are sometimes errors and then there are sometimes misleading adverts, I do not know where the one you are talking about fits in.
You may have made your point and decided not to buy from the guy , but no need to start mudslinging as it will leave a bad taste in someones mouth.
Having said that , the vanguard is a great rifle for the money, especially if you get one with the detachable mag.

seems pretty clear to me.
especially since theyre marked as 'on sale' and their regular price everywhere else is ~$550. the floor plate models are $499 regular price, wouldnt be much of a 'sale' :D

seeing as they made the website, and can easily just visit their own website and clearly see both a picture of a DM model as well as the words 'with detachable box magazine - $499', it indicates that you have yet another potentially shady dealer -- if the OP is to be believed.
 
It says it pretty clear and is not acceptable. I know that dealers have some kind of holy status but it is also the CGN owners (greentips) responsibility to tell them that they have to follow certain standards.

It should go both ways, right???

In regards to Badger, there have been stories floating around for a while, my experience is that he sometimes answers to emails in 1 minute, sometimes never, moody maybe.

Why not give Travis at Jo Brooks a call? He has had some pretty good deals going on, unfortunately they don't have a web site with prices but I was always happy with them and he always did what he said.

Where did I say anything negative on Badger. He's a business and if you advertise a product at a certain price, honor it. I have nothing against him, infact I thought I might have read the ad wrong. He was a very pleasant guy to talk with on the phone and has a great rep. But business is business.

Could be an honest web mistake, but on the website it's clear that the pricing is $499.00 and there are no notes regarding special requirements or anything else in regards to the purchase at that price. A print off of the page or a screenshot attached to an email sent to the store inquiring about the .30-06 would be suggested.

As a side note, the add'l 2% being charged on credit-card purchases is generally seen as a violation of the VISA/Merchant relationship and would be considered a no-no by VISA. However a 2% discount for items purchased with cash would not be a violation of that agreement. Caveat Vemptor in this case.

In a perfect world this would all be done. have a look at our forum page and you will find out my web girl just had a baby and has been away for a bit, we see many errors in our site that need attention this is a new site and we will get all the bugs worked out, but guys there is no negitive SH*t going on with my prices, When this was added to our site we did not have the mag model, just a mis hap on my web girls part. The site will be changed this week as keli our web girl is back to work. If this add means this much to go as far as public and not to me first, come and lets do the deal.
Are you not the man that asked if he could do a deposit and pay as you could? This is not even a cash sale and we are being put through the paces....WOW!!!!

THIS IS BULL SH*T

I won't put the deposit through.
Until you call and confirm deal. I will do the layaway !
