The stuff I changed since the pics on post #1281 are the scope and the bipod. Scope's still a Horus Vision, but a Raptor (the Super Falcon is on my AI clone) and the bipod's still a GG&G but the Extreme Heavy Duty/swivel version.

Here's my latest, courtesy of supporting dealers and the EE...I just couldn't do without a short AR15. I like my shorties as light and simple as possible...I was originally going to go irons only but thought I'd give the Aimpoint a try. The DD mount is very light (since it offers a 1/3 co-witness there's no need for a QR mount) and with the sight mounted "mid-way" along the rifle it doesn't affect the balance.

Upper: N8 Upper from Arms East with Magpul MOE handguards, Aimpoint H1 in Daniel Defence Mount (and sometimes a Magpul AFG)

Lower: Armalite lower with Stag parts kit and LMT receiver extension, Magpul MOE grip, trigger guard and CTR stock

Here is is with the AFG...I must admit I don't much like the feel of it. It's almost feels "bulkier"...like the FS2000 I used to own. I haven't tried it at the range yet -- I'll give it a try first before passing final judgement.

With the MOE forend I don't know what you can do, but on a proper railed forend you can put the AFG far enough forward to push the sling attachment (which you won't use anyway) up - gets your arm out there more and generally feels better.

Looking at the picture, it might work. If not, five minutes with a dremel on the MOE lip and it will work.
