I've slowly been saving my pennies this summer and am almost ready to purchase a new pistol. I've checked out a few glocks and s&w mps, 1911s and an XD 45. All of which are sweet little pistols, that I strangely have no interest in owing.
So with finally making that realization I became lost in the search for the pistol I want to purchase. Keep in my mind its a very large purchase for me as I won't be able to afford another for at least the next year or so and I really have to treat this as large deal.
I've been looking at a few brands and leaning towards a steel pistol, but would go with a polymer in a quality piece. My main criteria is reliability. I've had a few unreliable autos in the past (haven't we all) and really have no patience for getting them to run anymore. Out of the box reliability and quality are mybuying point.
I've been looking at a fairly wide price range, but would like to keep it under $1000 used, so far I' interested in the Beretta 92FS-M9, Sig 220 Combat .45, HK P2000, CZ Shadow or Cz Duty and Sig 226-228. I'm also leaning towards a .45 but if I find a nice 9mm I'd be willing to shift towards that. Thanks all I appreciate everyone's input.
