That was my recently retired police officer friend duty pistol. He was sad that he wasn't allowed to keep it when he just retired of course so he bought a G22 as a retirement present to himself.

I bet the magazine cap bugs him more than the size difference now that he's not carrying it all the time.

I bet not being able to carry when he wants to bugs him more then the magazine cap. - dan
 
He will never have one far away. It will just more likely be his 870 now in the truck, on the quad, etc. He feels that responsible people, not just law enforcement and the military should be able to carry guns.

NEW Question. Are the recoil springs different? Brownells lists one part for 9mm, .40 and.357. I have a mercury guide rod I want to use in theG23. What other parts are different between the G19 and G23?

As far as I know, just the extractor and ejector.
