now I'm interested...what are you seeing this time that makes you think it'll be different than your last XCR experience?

They claim a full re-design and they've learned from 5 years of building the XCR-L.

Mostly though, it's a .308 black rifle.

Very interested. Non-restricted .308? No brainer.... unless of course some parts don't hold up to the larger round. As usual, I'll wait to see the reviews.

Even though I'm waiting for the Swiss SAPR, the 308 XCR is definitely under serious consideration. Non restricted 308 back rifle for half the price of the swiss one..how can you not get one? I think I convinced myself.

The hell with making the upper cover the gas block... I think it looks fantastic the way it is so unless there are operational advantages to a longer upper, I think it'll just mean more weight.

It has since been revealed the XCR-M will use SR25 magazines

I am interested, so long as we get a very good product, and the mag's and such aren't a beoch to obtain.

After some quick google foo it seems that indeed they will use AR10 Magazines. The SR25 uses the same mag, so This should be interesting.

You guys know the Norinco M14 copies have been out for some time right?
And to add insult to injury, they shoot a hell of a lot better than the XCRs...the .308 version notwithstanding.

So have you handled one of the new XCR-M's ??? Otherwise I think you are making some pretty baseless claims...

There is a certain difference between a old M-14 design and an XCR.. I would love to have an FN but being that I don't (and if I did it would never see a range) I think one of these will be close enough...
