Summer Slam V, Dalhousie, New Brunswick

Already one of my favorite matches ever !!!

ABSOLUTELY GREAT TO SHOOT STAGES HERE ! GOOD MIX OF SPEED, SKILL,
GOOD THINKING STAGES (OF SHOOT FORM HERE OR FORM THERE), BUT NOT THE STUPID TYPE OF THINKING THAT F*@KS U UP...:jerkit:
SOME GOOD STAGES FOR :ar15: AND SOME FOR SLOWING DOWN ON STEEL, ETC... LOTS OF MOVEMENT AND TRANSITIONS....

WE'RE GOING TO BANQUET NOW, BUT ANXIOUS TO GO SHOOT THE REST :D

MY HAT OFF TO THES NB CREW !!!

NOW, LETS EAT AND DRINK.

Well team EESA is stuck in Cornwall and my car is a total write off..............!!!

We had just changed drivers at the service center and were passing a transport when we hit an ENTIRE TIRE WITH WHEEL AND BRAKE HUB!

Luckily Roadie was able to keep control and we did not end up rolling in the ditch or slamming into the truck!!

My poor poor Magnum!!

And to top it off it was just my birthday on Saturday!!
Pictures will follow when we can download them.

Good to hear you guys are ok dude. But now you can get a better car ;)
Looking forward to video and pics.

Well we got a look at the car this morning.......
The steel trailer rim took out the main cross support member on the frame bending it right back taking off the oil filter...........

Welds further back are also broken.

The wheel we hit included the entire brake drum assembly off of a trailer and must weigh about 120 lbs!!!!!!!!

We are damned lucky to be alive........

Glad to hear everyones safe !!! ...and all shooting fingers in place, I hope ? May the rest of the trip home be safe and see you guys soon.

and don't worry about your poor magnum, it can be replaced and like Slavex said, with a better car this time....

Glad to hear you are ok! As for the car, hard to say you need a better one when this one kept you alive when many others might not have....and I'm not a dodge fan!

WOW !!! Glad to hear that everyone are OK. Had a blast shooting with you guy's except for the last 3 stages !!!!!Guess in NB we look out for moose and in ONT you's look for trucks. Hope that mishap won't keep you a way from our matchs. Hope to get the chance to get to one of your matches.
Pass on to the rest of the guys I am glad you all are OK.

Roger

hats off to the Dalhousie folks,...great hospitality, good food and great stages. The amount of work these folks put in is incredible. It has "future nationals should be here" written all over it.

Glad to hear you guys are ok Storm. Cars are replaceable; people aren't. With all the moose buzzing around out there, I figured someone was going to nail one for sure. But a truck wheel...?

Now that match was some serious fun. I expected it to be, but it was way more than I expected. Big-time kudos to the NB guys. I'm still shaking my head in amazement at those stages. I'm hoping some of you guys will send me some of those pictures soon, since I conveniently forgot my camera at home.

I need a little nap now; that was a long drive.

GROUP PHOTO!!!! One of many more !!

Give me a few weeks to collect them and will send you a DVD of all I can get.

As a new shooter to the sport, I can say this match was AWESOME :)
I met great people, and learned lots from them. To anyone out there that have never went to summer slam go for it, you wont regret it.

I hope next year the stages will be as crazy and fun as they were this year.

same here if people would have pics and vid's to forward me that would be awesome, i forgot to take out my camera.

Holy snappin #######s

What that prop built for this match? (or is a permanent range fixture)

Either way...I don't think my house is that well built

Impressive...

That and just about everything else was built by Serge for the match. Thanks for posting that stage, euxx if you could provide the direct links here that would be great I could not figure out how to access them on the ipsc stats page.

They aren't on the ipsc-statats yet... I barely slept last night and also still waiting for the copy of the match results from Chris, so I can link and properly name the videos. Though you can get the links for the vids by clicking on that triangle button in bottom left corner of the video player above.

Here it is. the video is still being processed and quality will improve in a little while:

Eugene,...did you start with your hands on the X's? It is hard to tell from the video but you appear to start with the left side of the stage.
