Hunting camp setups

We used to use an Outfitter tent but Gramp's is getting old and doesnt like the tent thing anymore. This is the best we could do on a hillbilly budget...

Double tarped this in...assembled obviously when we got there :D

We use a cabin, no hydro or running water. Use woodstove to cook and heat it. Also, outhouse for when nature calls, and another small shack with a woodstove which heats a bucket of water if you want a "shower" (1/2 pot hot + 1/2 pot cold = warm -> dump on head :)

Deer camp looks like this (picture taken while we were constructing the addition). We heat with wood and have a genny for power. Since we all live close by, we shower at home every couple days.

For moose, we rent a couple of cabins that have hydro, lake water plumbing and wood heat. There is a shower "hut" with warm water.

I would love to tent it for a week or 2 for moose. Having trouble convincing any of my friends to go.

Gotta say that I prefer this

But to each his own.

In many circumstances I would as well. But this is my families history in that building, and not something we will be giving up any time soon. Its approaching 100 years in the family. I can hunt deer, bear, moose, ducks, grouse and other assorted small game all 20 mins from home on our property.

We use a 14'camper, have a power hookup and outhouse on the farm. Always wanted a cabin, been looking at the construction office trailers as a possible camp. 53 footer with a pair of "bedrooms" at either end. Already wired and insulated, many are set up for propane heating and AC, and rather cheap compared to an actual cabin.
