Big difference from 200 yds on out, eh? About 37% more energy at 200, and 57% at 300...not that 300 yd shots are a good idea with a 30.30 in any event. I've often read that 1000 ft. lbs. is considered the baseline minimum on big game.
Big enough to make the difference in a pinch, IMHO.
