Tavor Optic decision

Hey,

Got a new Tavor with the optics rail. I have in my junk drawer a Nightforce 1-4NXS, and I am between a Larue or GG&G mount for it.

OR

Should I sell the Nightforce and skip the mount purchase and just buy an Elcan DR?

Thoughts?

For a mount try the American Defense AD Recon, Target Sports has them in stock, and for optic the Trijicon AccuPoint is a good one.

I own a Larue and an ADM cantilever style mount.

I prefer the ADM.

It depends on how you are using the Tavor (what distance).
Here is what I did. I mount a red dot on top of the scope. The red dot is sighted to 50 yd. Scope is sighted at 100 yd.

Definitely the LaRue. I (and a few others) have the Elcan Spectre DR. Speaking only for myself, it's a really great setup (albeit a tad on the heavier side). You can't go wrong with a Nightforce 1-4NXS either, though.

Well.....I guess I should have said "spare parts drawer"..hahaha

Bought it for my dad and he turned tail and ran, so I figured I'd keep it around in case I found a use for it.

I'll look into the AD mount for sure....still considering the Elcan though....or maybe even an ACOG with a Doctor kit
