I'm thinking of getting an sr22 as my first rifle. I'm wondering which optics to put on. Was thinking of an ncstar 3-9x40, or possibly the BSA 3-9x40 scope. Is there any issues w/ the ncstar w/ parallax? would the bsa be better cause it's made for .22? Last question...would you put on burris high mount rings or use a cheaper brand? I'll likely be shooting at a range which only goes to 25 yards...until i can find somewhere better close to me, or some nice gravel pits in southern ontario :)

I went with a Bushnell red-dot and flip up irons but if I was going to use a magnified scope I'd go with one of the NCStar Compact scopes that Marstar carries. http://www.marstar.ca/ac-Ncstar/Compact-Scopes.shtm.

Be sure if you're buying NC Star that the dealer you're getting it from can support any warranty issues, especially in Canada. AFIK there are only two that can do that, and we're one of those two. NC Star will not accept any optics from Canada for warranty.
