Hi.For shooting paper, no difference. For shooting deer, the 243 wins hands down.
Hi.
On what distance .243Win. 7.62x39 will recover (100m.-200m.-300m.)?
Absolute decline of these calibers on distance 200 meters practically identically.
Energiya higher at 7.62x39.
P.S.
In all of situations we examine a standard bullet for SKS 123gr.-124gr. and 100gr.-110gr. for .243Win..
The middle decline of bullet of 100gr. .243Win. on 300 yards makes from 6.6in. to 9.4in.,Exactly !![]()
For the 234 Win at 100 yards using a Sierra 100 grain HP using a nominal 3200 FPS for muzzle velocity we get 1809 ft/lb of energy. At 200 yards: 1420 and 300 yards 1129. For the 7.62x39mm at 100 yards using a muzzle velocity of 2300 fps with a Hornady 123 grain SP bullet we get 1104 ft/lb of energy, at 200: 831, 300: 621. So, at about 167 yards with the 7.62x39mm we dip below 900 ft/lb of energy, which is (what I have heard anyways) is a good cutoff for deer sized animals.
All data was gleaned from Sierra's Infinity program, version 6.
Hi.say kristian55, are you asking as you plan to hunt with a 7.62x39 or is this one of those zombie apocalypse questions?

Hi friends.
A question is based on a desire to fill a niche between calibers 7.62x39 and 30-06.
In relation to application of this caliber - I search most "universal"
CXP1,CXP2-on long and middle distances and CXP3 on short distances.
