I posted this same thread on the optics forum, but I'm thinking I should have posted it here instead as this forum is usually more active, so I apologize for double posting this. Mods feel free to delete my thread in the optics forum.

"Hey guys, I'm looking for a decent scope for my CZ 452. I can't afford a top dollar scope so I'm looking at one of these. Does this seem like a suitable scope for my gun and will I be doing my CZ a disservice by putting this scope on it? I plan on shooting between 25-100+ yards, mostly target shooting. I want something with AO as I plan to shoot at varying ranges. Can anyone recommend this scope or something else in the same ballpark price wise? I don't really know much about optics so any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks."

How much is the Meuller? I have an older Bushnell 4200 4-16x40AO on my Anschutz/CIL and it is excellent. I also have a Bushnell 3200 5-15x50AO on a Savage 12FV and wouldn't hesitate to put it on a quality rimfire like your 452.

If you were to ask this same question on rimfirecenteral you would get an over welming yes .its one of the more popular choises as they seem to be of good quality.:)I may have to check one out my self .

I just received my Mueller 4.5-14x40AO APV and must say I’m impressed. I didn’t think that I would get much for $165.00 new but I tried it this Saturday and it works very well. I was even able to see the target at 100 yards and where the bullet hit. I was looking at maybe going for more expensive glass on my 22 lr. but for now this scope does the trick...;)

I forgot to menssion with the 452s the optic bell needs to be relatively small to allow bolt handle clearance .just something to watch out for in your scope hunt.

Don't talley rings which have the screw on the top as opposed to the side help with this?
