Value of 1894 Winchester CPR

Friend of mine has a 1970 Winchester Model 94 in 32 special, just curious on how much it would be worth. Canadian Pacific Railway edition, top eject I think

It is brand new, never fired, No box unfortunately. Mint

Probably around $500 give or take $100. Commemorative 94s, in general, aren't exactly setting the world on fire.

The CPR was issued in 1981. I think $500-$700 is probably about right.

One sold at Haynes Auction a couple weeks ago with the box etc. unfired for 600.$$

If one sold for $600 with a box unfired then this one is $350-$450 without the box

I've read some reports that they (commemorative models) make OK shooters.

Some guys have had pretty crappy luck with them too, seemingly because of pretty low Quality Assurance at the manufacturer, thought to be related to the theory that 'nobody is going to shoot it anyway'.

It's worth whatever you can get for it, in the long run, but unless it's still pretty much giftwrapped from new, it's not that collectible.

The CPR is actually a very usable rifle, I think you're quite low for a near new M.94...
