Just curious what a NIB Remington 870 Police Magnum w /14" bbl would be worth these days?

When you say NIB do you mean that you have a new, unfired 14 inch 870 Police Magnum that is still in its original box, including manual? Wood or synthetic stocks?

I would say well over a 1000$ as I just paid 400$ for a NIB 14" bbl for a 870P.
If I remember well, Target sports had some to sell a few months ago. I thinks they were close to 1100$... (whole 870P)

14" bbl are expensive 'cause, officially, you need an end user the get one from Remington. Otherwise, you don't get any. It seems that there is exception to this....

Yes, new and unfired (but OMG, Mr. Mark @ Questar does not like that saying so...) 'new and unfired by me' 14 inch 870 Police Magnum with original box, manual, some square metal piece for the front sling I believe, and synthetic stocks.

Cylinder choke or modified? Bead or rifle sight?

Cylinder and bead sight $1,000.

Modified choke and rifle sights $1,200.

I had a few PM's asking if I wanted to sell. Sorry, no... not right now at least. That could change anytime though, who knows.

IIRC, I am the 3rd owner, and neither of the previous owners fired it either per the 2nd owner. Prob one of the last ones to come into Canada.

It is the top one in the pic below.

That is correct! ;) I never had a chance to take it to the range, although I bought it from the original owner with the intention of using it... :( And the original owner bought it new and kept it as a safe queen.

Also, notice how it has the older Police synthetic forend... the newer 870Ps just have the regular Remington synthetic forend.

I wish I hadn't have sold it.... I miss that little gun... :( Ah well, live and learn...

LOL. That's right. I bought it from you. I forgot. :) Well it is still sitting here all pretty. I doubt it will ever be fired. I gave to my father as a present, but it's been a safe queen so far.

It might just end up for sale again. We seem to both be less interested in guns (except the sentimental ones that were passed down over the years) as time goes on, and more with classic cars... and of course the dream of sitting on a deck of a huge house/cottage overlooking a nice northern lake with 100 acres or so and no one around. :)

If anyone else would like to buy an original 870 police magnum with registered 14 inch barrel, send me a PM. LNIB $1000 shipped. SAFE QUEEN! It has swivel studs for 2 point sling.

Both great looking shotguns, guys! But I have yet to see an original 14" 870P (even with box) sell for more than $900 in recent years... and I have bought and sold a few of them in the last 3 or 4 years. I do wish both of you the best of luck though! :)

When they were new, they were $800. +tax + shipping. Now they are virtually unavailable.

NIB@$1149. is a bargain.

True, but a 14" NIB Grizzly or Norinco can be had for under $400... I know they are not the same but believe me, it definitely held the prices for factory 14" 870s at bay. And if you want to go higher end, a 14" Fabarm can be had for $600 - $800 depending on features.

Don't get me wrong, a 14" 870P is an awesome gun and many a collector would love to have one in his collection. But the people that want to buy one to shoot the #### out of now have a more diverse selection to choose from. And all of the other choices are quite a bit less than $1000...

If a seller is patient, I suppose the right buyer might come along... But it may take months in the EE... The days where a 14" 870P would sell within hours of getting listed are long gone now that there are other viable choices.

But like I said, I hope you fellas get what you are asking. The right buyers may be out there.
