stupid question?

would remington barrel fit in any mauser action?
i have a chance to get 22-250 take off barrell and have mauser actions i want to build rifle on.
any ideas?

i'm pretty sure if the barrel's the same or larger diameter, you can have new threads cut on it to fit any action. I've also heard of sleeves being made to bring a smaller barrel up to the correct diameter. Someone else should have a more definitive answer, but as far as i know...

Talk to the gunsmith who you will have do the job. Only he will give you the answer you need.

Thank you ...trouble is I am trying to get info before I buy the barrel. I would like to get remm action but I can't find one... Mausers are easier to get. I will se if the guy let's me try it. Was just thinking someone may have tried this before
