So after much debate and shopping I bought my first pistol to get into the restricted world, can't wait to get it home and finish all the ATT related paperwork and take it out to our range TCRC.

I had originally intended to get a Sig P226 but ended up with the Beretta PX4 Storm Special Duty in .45 cal

Now the waiting game for the CFO to get on with the transfer...

You went top shelf polymer, nice.

Type F?

Not sure what Type F means....sorry I'm somewhat new to the handgun game, last one I carried was issued to me and 6 other guys had long before shot the barrell out of it:ar15:

The exact model name is Beretta PX4 Storm SD....so not sure if that equates to Type F

Models

The Px4 is available in four models:

* Type F: Single and double-action. Decocker. Manual safety.
* Type C: Single-action-only ("Constant Action"). Spurless hammer. No decocker. No safety.
* Type D: Double-action-only. Spurless hammer. No decocker. No safety.
* Type G : Single and double-action. Decocker. No manual safety.

I'm not sure if there are any type G's in country or not, so it's probably an F.

Thanks for the link!

I believe it is Type F from reading the descriptions provided, as it is both SA and DA on mine with the Decocker as well.
