I'm looking to replace the iron sights on my Savage Mark II F with something a little more precise. Although the rear sights are reasonably good, the front sight is quite large and round. Together they only adjust for elevation but not windage, which is rather aggravating considering the rifle fires a little right to where they are set.

Does anybody know where to look for some replacement sights of a higher quality? Any help is very appreciated.

Cheers,
Sand

What kind of sights do you like?
For peep sights:
If the receiver is grooved or can take a weaver base, there are peep sights that could be attached.
NECG makes them:

Here is a link for a more advanced set up(expensive):

For more standard sights, I assume the dovetail is 3/8" so there are lots of sights available. Drift out the old, drift in the new.
I'd start looking on brownells for them.

Thanks for the help lone-wolf!

I'm looking for standard open sights, with good precision and elevation/windage adjustability.

Perhaps something more like this, minus the light collecting plastic bits:

Both sights seem to mount into a triangular slot, just like in the picture above.

Does anybody know any other websites that sell open sights?

Marbles has a similar rear sight without the fiber insert.

I may have one here too(and a front post), as a 10/22 take off.

As for other websites, you can have a look at "www.midwayusa.com" afaik they won't ship to Canada(brownells will btw), but they may have something brownells doesn't. If they do, you know what to look for on other canadian friendly websites.

Are those Hi-Viz?

Thank you so much for all the great help!

I think I'll be getting one of these, I just need to figure out elevations and ranges of which specific type to get....

Do you think those will work well?

Brownells has a tech support phone number, they may be able to tell you which height and what not, you need. FYI I never talked to them before, so I don't know about their level of knowledge.
