For the techies....150 grain Barnes triple shock in 308. Took out the aorta. 50 yard follow up in the corn with lots of light left :)

Yeah the fields get totally trashed if they are anywhere near the bush...I would conservatively estimate that 1/4 of that field looked like that. Needless to say getting permission is pretty simple. My buddy who was sitting with my other boy saw 7 going into that field but the strip he was watching was very narrow so it was tough to field judge and get time for a shot...

The bear was a pig...fat beyond words and VERY difficult for the two of us to drag 20 yards to where the corn was laid down.....Honest 6' bear with a chance for the skull to go 19 which would make MB book...

It was actually bigger than I thought when we found it....that never happens lol...
