Besides being a little crazy. (But hey maby were all alittle ####in' crazy) :p

I cant for the life of me shoot my G17 well, it's all over the place or a straight up miss. My G22 is a little better but basically the same. But wow, when I grab my G21SF... boom! dead center all day long, just a beauty.

Is this common, can the bigger calibres be easier to shoot for some?

I sold my G17 and my G22 is for sale. To hell with the smaller calibres, Im guna stick with .45 Auto, maby next I'll try 10mm Auto...

Thoughts?

It's probably not a problem with the gun...though it is hard to diagnose an accuracy problem without being there in person.

I shoot my G17 just fine. My recommendation, (if you're satisfied your grip and sight alignment are okay) is to start at 5 yards....keeping firing at that distance until you can put an entire magazine into a 2" circle. Then back it up to 7 yards, then 10, then 15 and so on.

That's how I managed to start getting hits on paper, and my accuracy really sucked at first.

I do find it easier to shoot my .45, but that's a different gun, with different sights, and a different grip angle.

I found I was a lot better with my 1911 than my M&P9. Seemed easer to get hits where I wanted them. I'm getting better with the 9MM though I'm thinking of blacking out the dots on my sights, as I have heard that can help with quicker aquisitions.

As mentioned by someone above, 9mm and .40S&W are both high pressure rounds, which create a lot of relative muzzle jump, whereas the .45ACP is "smoother".

Try putting some snap caps in your mags, to see if you have developed a flinch with 9 and 40.

I sold my G17 as the material of the grip and my sweaty hands were not compatible, affected accuracy greatly, bought a steyr M9 still plolymer, but different material and grip and groups reduced in size by several inches at 25 meters.
