I received a SPARC in the mail on Monday. Nice optic. Tuesday I broke the rubber strap on the lens cover. I called Vortex Canada and explained my stupidity and the guy I talked to asked for my name and address and I had a new one in the mail today. A pretty good bunch to do business with and I will definitely be looking at the Viper PST when they come out.

That lens cover is a POS, it's too short for the SPARC. I broke mine last week.

Blame the Department for Homeland Security for that problem as I have be going threw the same ringger as you are.
Got to admit the bikini cover's for the sparc is crap also. This is why I opt'd for the ARD and I keep the magnifer on when it's in storage or in transit.

The guy I talked to said they should be out in December (hopefully). Something about not being happy with a turret design and wanting them to be 'right' when they shipped.
 
I was reading a thread about the Strikefires when they first came out on an AR15 forum. Seems a guy from Vortex was a member and people were complaining about the Strikefires being held back from release. The guy stated it was due to crappy products by the makers AGAINST Vortex's orders so they send them all back to be remade. At the same time they changed a few things at the same time to make them even better.
 
I bought some Vulture 12X50 binos on clearance a few years ago. I had a problem with one of the eyecups loosening up so I took it back to the store. I was out the door with a brand new pair in about 30 seconds.:D I loove those binos!

I was referring to the point that us up here in Canada will have to wait up to another 6 more month's after there released in the States for the proper paper work to be processed because of the Department classifying the reticules for military use.
