I think i have narrowed it down, i would love to have the money for a new Sako varmiter, but just dont right now. I am in the hunt for a new 22-250, think i have it narrowed down between the browning eclipse or the Tikka, camo Stainless. Weight, doesnt bother me, its more going to be a sittin shooting bench gun anyway.
let here your thoughts? And or Suggestions?

How about the Savage 12VLP, or the 12BVSS, both sharp looking guns, but how do they shoot???? As good as a Tikka???

I am not a follower but....

I would say I have to follow what others recomend. I am a HUGE beleiver in Tikka and Savage rifles. If my guns wont shoot 1/2 or their abouts.... I get rid of em...All I have left in my gun cases are savage and tikka with one sweet shootin anshutz .22 .

IMO Browning are overpriced POS...but people love em....so what do I know!

Well there, that makes things a little easier, as u can see i changed the name of the thread. So now which one?????????????

I own a Savage 12 FLV in .204 for coyotes. It is one of the most accurate rifles I have owned. I just did some handloading for it and can shoot all day into less than a dime. Put the savings into optics...only mho

Lots of Savage fans here, and I am certainly one. I've owned about 20 guns over the past 4 years and ALL of the Savages have been great shooters, 6 I think and another one built on a Savage action is incoming - range report on it is cloverleafs with factory ammo. Currently the best shooting gun I own is a LRPV left port single shot .223, a true 1/2 MOA gun (though the driver isn't always good for it).

Beats the heck out of the Rems I've owned (4 with none on the horizon lol). Haven't owned a Tikka yet but the day will come, I need to try one out :)

The only difference I can see between the 2 Savages you mention is the stock, other than that barrel length, weight, etc etc same so pick which you like and go shoot bugholes.

Alright I'll throw a curve.

I have a Ruger M77 MKII varmint/target in 22-250. Heavy bugger (almost 10 lbs before you add a scope) but nice set up for a bench gun. Two stage target trigger is very nice. Cloverleafs at 100 yds with factory hornady 50g.

Good luck with your decision.
