Posp scope easy to use?

By easy to use I mean, is it quick and easy to line up the proper chevron and squeeze off a round OR do you have to read your sights for a few seconds before ligning it up on your target? The reticle looks a bit messy on their 6x & 8x scopes, it's just a giant T with lines going in all directions... my largest worry is that it would be a bit confusing to use while tracking a moving deer or moose.


also, if you posp owners would be so kind to answer these... :)

Which model did you choose & are you pleased with your purchase?

If you are not, which model would you rather own?




I dislike the windage lines in this pic, adds too much bulk

www.interammo.com, Contact Teapot2, you will know everything. Easy to operate unless you are "a beer drinker" lol. Mine:

I have the reticule you show in the first picture. Its a 2-6x24 variable magnification scope. Its solid as a stone, IMO better than most $500 western scopes.

No, they all have horizontal scale. It's easy to use.

Windage correction:
Because the scope is off-set to the rifle's bore, you may need to make a windage correction for
distances beyond your 100 meter zero. You have two options to accomplish this task. Either turn the
windage drum up or down or use the hash marks to the left and right of the center chevron in the
reticle. You simply “hold over” left or right, aligning your target over a particular hash mark. Each hash
mark represents one click on the windage turret which translates to 1.9 inches of movement at 100
meters.

Each vertical chevron represents an additional 100 meters in hold over.

Do you find it easy to shoot accurately at longer ranges while using that windage scale as teapot just explained?

Also, what magnification do you use the most on your 858, 2x,4x,6x ??


And thanks teapot for the explanation, I was wondering why they all had that horizontal scale, now I know :)

Yeah I noticed that one before posting... it's nice and clean looking but I really like the range finder and vertical chevrons found on the other models, it's the horizontal scale that bugged me. I now realize that scale is needed for accurate long range shots, I just dont know how easy it is to use.

Send my paint picture to those russians and demand a custom batch of scopes for us canadians, I can't be the only one who wants a mix of both reticles :D ;)
