Canada only had 123 ferrets and we drove them hard. Our hubs ended up modified with some different internals because of the wear. The brits, on the other hand, had thousands of the ferrets and rotated them through different theaters and overhaul shops. I have seen Brit ferrets with very little miles on them, which had been held in storage for decades.


I got the best of both worlds about a decade back when I transplanted a complete Brit Ferret powertrain into a Cdn hull. I had the nostalgia of owning a Cdn ferret (ours were all very early production mk1s) with the fresh powertrain components of a British mk2.
 
Klunk, I am going to respectfully ask that you stop posting pics because I am already insanely jealous of your armada and I cannot take much more :)
 
:D Oh I should have said Scrap materials

officially your not allowed to tow old scrap hulls out on the ranges to shoot up anymore, its not enviromentally friendly or cost effective. I know some units keep trying to do it and then are stuck with an old scrap hull that they have to get rid of as scrap metal, makes them sad. Makes me happy to know that they won't be blowing up any more old armour vehicles, I may find one.
 
All that sand colour paint. Are you trying to relive the Empire's old glorious days in Aden?
 
A decent refurbished Ferret usually goes for $10k - $15k in milsurp market. Comparing to other milsurp AFVs, the little Ferret is probably the most affordable armour of the lot to play with.
