The 30-30 club, are you in?

By gum! There's more fellows with 30-30's that you can shake a stick at! Maybe we should start another thread asking who's NOT in. That way there'd only be one or two posts.

Does a 30 Remington qualify? They are almost identical, the remington just never took off.

You bet it does! It is just a 30-30 without a rim.

Edited to say, I guess the reason it never took off, was because no one ever saw Gary Cooper or John Wayne with a pump gun in the scabbard!

i can't believe people keep digging up this thread...

Just got a .30-30 Schmidt...the thing feels solid as all heck (you know you're holding a rifle of some substance)...I've read that the bolt will be smooth when there is ammo chambered (as oppose o working it on an empty chamber/magazine), so I'm kinda anxious to get this out to the range...:dancingbanana:

Just bought a winchester 94 30-30 from another gunnut... still hasn't arrived yet, give it another few days..can't frickin wait....plan on using it for my moose hunt this year, when i'm in close quarters hunting territory.. 170 grs', within 100yards should be no trouble with a lung shot...

yep a pre 64 94 in tolerable condition which i now cant reassemble.

The problem issue in getting them back together, seems to be the pin that has to go through the proper holes, then get into the right two parts.
Google, until you get to where you can download a manual.
