Does a 30 Remington qualify? They are almost identical, the remington just never took off.

You bet it does! It is just a 30-30 without a rim.

Edited to say, I guess the reason it never took off, was because no one ever saw Gary Cooper or John Wayne with a pump gun in the scabbard!

Just got a .30-30 Schmidt...the thing feels solid as all heck (you know you're holding a rifle of some substance)...I've read that the bolt will be smooth when there is ammo chambered (as oppose o working it on an empty chamber/magazine), so I'm kinda anxious to get this out to the range...

Just bought a winchester 94 30-30 from another gunnut... still hasn't arrived yet, give it another few days..can't frickin wait....plan on using it for my moose hunt this year, when i'm in close quarters hunting territory.. 170 grs', within 100yards should be no trouble with a lung shot...

The problem issue in getting them back together, seems to be the pin that has to go through the proper holes, then get into the right two parts.
Google, until you get to where you can download a manual.

Have a few. single shot savage...1894 winchester carbine and one in a rifle,.and one marlin model 36 A ,, that one has one letter and four numbers for a serial number..

Had a 1971 94 in 30WCF. It wouldn't group worth a damn so I sold it. I like the cartridge but the rifle simply didn't meet my expectations; stringing is not an admirable trait in a hunting rifle.
My present lever is a GG in 45-70.
