I finally got my very own CZ550 in .375 H&H. I'd like to thank everyone who gave me input in my previous thread about the 375 Recoil and What models of 375 they liked. I went out and shot it tonight and I LOVE IT!!!

Thanks again!!

mine shoots 3 rounds all touching at 100. The felt recoil is hardly noticeable. The 235 grain Barnes TSX has a MV of 3025 FPS or so. The 375H&H is very close in performance to the 340Weatherby mag, except the H&H shoots a heaver bullet. So this tells me that the CZ550 is a long range shooter for sure. I just love shooting mine. For some reason I get a big hard on every time I shove one of them big cartridges up the pipe, and they do feed so smooth.

"....375 H&H..." Nice. Don't know what you're planning on doing with it, but "I want one." is reason enough. Pricey thing to feed at $64.95 per 20 for Remington 270 grain SP's. Still an 'I want one." thing. Just like the .375 H&H double rifle(or any double rifle) I so desparately need. For no apparent reason.
CZ rifles are tastefully made too.

My father kept telling me that if I was going to buy a new rifle to get something different that what we already have. A .338WM felt like a half step up from my .300WM that I shoot right now so I decided to go up a little higher to the 375. And......the only reason I considered buying one of these is because I reload so the cost of ammo goes down a bit. By reloading I can adjust my load depending on what I'm hunting. I'll be making up some 260gr Nosler Partition loads for the Moosies.

Fine rifle.

I once owned a Ruger #1 in 375 H&H. I used it for everything from deer to moose.

Handloaded 230 gr bullets could be loaded to big game performance and 30-06 kick. 270 gr spitzers could be loaded for real serious elk whacking at loooong range. Stout 300 grain round noses could stop a truck. And it is a true elephant rifle with a very long tradition of killing the worlds toughest and most dangerous game. Unless T-rex returns you are never undergunned.

Great choice in rifle and cartridge.

Awesome rifle. I have one in 9.3 x 62mm and love it. I had a .375 H&H in a Ruger #1 too and really liked that calibre. I think I'm destined to get another one, too.
