Largest calibre I can go without changing anything but the barrel (Savage 110)

I have a 300 win mag Savage 110 and have a few barrels for my short actions which are starting to get redundant and was wondering what the largest calibre barrel I could get for the 300 is without changing bolt face, magazine, etc. Someone ones told me 458 but then I heard otherwise. Would I be able to go 375. Does savage even make that? I would like to stick with a stock barrel and just have an extra barrel for the gun thats a bit bigger. I have several cals from 22 to 300 but nothing bigger, no heavy hitters and wouldn't mind one for this rifle as I love this particular gun and the fact that I can just swap out barrels. Sorry for being long winded whatever you can tell me would be great.

"...told me 458..." Actually has a 3 thou smaller case head, but I doubt a 110 will handle a .458's recoil. The .458's case is 400 thou longer too. The .375 H&H case is 3/4" longer. Give you a mag length issue. Quite possibly an action length issue as well.
"...have an extra barrel..." Isn't a quick change barrel, depending on when it was made. A whole lot depends on that. Older rifles require a barrel vise and action wrench, plus headspace guages. Threads are sealed too. Heat deals with that though.
Question 6. Read question 13 too.

Over 12, 500 posts, and you still dont check your info, how do you do the facepalm smilie again?

The 458 win mag and the 300 win mag share a common case head, .532 ", and a common COAL of 3.340 (SAAMI max allowable, but changes with handloading) I realise you were talking case length, not cartridge, where you were also misinformed, as the 458 is actually .120 shorter than the .300 (2.500" for the 458, and 2.620 for the 300). So that buggers up your first two arguments. They are cut from the same cloth, and if an action is built for one, it will work fine for the other, feed rails included, as they also share a common body taper.

Now, on to the 110 action, it should work fine. Maybe beef up the recoil lug and reinforce the stock to prevent it from coming apart under recoil, and you should be in action.
Brownells even sells a kit to do it with, including headspace gauges.
