It's almost wrong to call this a "bubba".

I guess i am in the minority but

I dont think any of those rifles look Bubba I would be happy to own any of them. Some of them have very nice wood.

I would be interested to know more about the ones with the one piece stock. Was the excess metal machined off? Who did this to these rifles, like was it a factory job, and if so what factory?

I have 2 bubba jobs, one bought that way, one made by myself. The Lee Enfield is still a work in progress as I have a long butt stock that I've cut flat and to which I plan to mount a recoil pad. It looks like the first rifle in this thread, so I won't bother posting a pic just yet. I'm in the process of fabricating a cheek rest for it and I'll post pics when it's done. The second one is a M95M, and boy oh boy, did I get reamed for sporterizing this one!!! Let me point out in my defense that it's not matching serial numbers, and the original barrel had the sights canted about 5-7 degrees to the left (which made for an awkward hold and sight picture). It shoots like a dream with factory ammo, and it's put a few deer on the table. Also, it was bubba'd about 12 years ago.

Usually gunsmith or amature tinkerers. I dont know of any factory that did them. I went to trades school with a very skilled fellow, who had trained to be a shop teacher (after 20 years of being a welder), and he did some. He would weld on a rear tang, and make his own stock, amazing work.

This Jungle Carbine pictured in post #5 has been Bubba'd but minimally. The metal work wasn't touched, an after market butt stock was added as was a scope mount that didn't require drilling and/or tapping. To get back 'almost' to original, I have the original butt stock and recoil pad.

As a side issue, I have a second Jungle Carbine, basically mint and as an added touch I've added an original bayonet, ;)just for the hell of it:D.

It's put lots of moose meat on my grandfather's table.

Sht. LE Mk. III* 1913 vintage, done up by "CHURCHILL GUNMAKERS LTD 32 ORANGE STREET LONDON

Drilled and tapped. It is just the way I bought it in 1965, at the local MacLeod's Hardware store, for $65.00. I like the way the old thing handles, and I guess I'll have to take it out deer hunting, maybe this Fall.

Mcknipau, I checked out your original post of your rifle. Thanks for that. Very cool, lots of work involved. Nice rifle.
