Just curious...being largely ignorant of Canadian ammunition manufacturing history...are brown cardboard boxes of 48 rounds of .303 ammo marked "H-112" ".303 Inch Mk VII" and C-Broad Arrow withe C.I.A. underneath Dominion Industries manufacture, Dominion Arsenals manufacture, or other manufacture?

I'm guessing that it's re-stamped by Century International Arms. 'CIA' doesn't appear on any of the manufacturer's lists. What's the headstamp?

CIA is a mark that shows the ammo was made to a standard. Cannot recall the exact words at the moment.
DI Defence Industries a crown corporation ran by Dominion Ctg Div. of CIL.

Just to clarify, the C.I.A. is a stamping on the packaging, not the headstamp?

If it's on the packaging, my guess is it was marketed as surplus by Century Arms. If it's on the headstamp, is it possible the A is actually an L? Even that would surprise me as I think DA or DI were more common.

This is it.
The CIA stamp on the package has nothing to do with the Central Intelligence Agency or with Century International Arms.

"C.I.A." = "Chief Inspector Armaments" or similar

All military equipment in stores is subject to regular inspection and sometimes repackaging.

I've owned Canadian mfg .303 British in British boxes and Brit mfg ammo in Canadian repack inspection boxes.
